Beacon Counselling has a new and exciting event planned for April. A Gala Dinner is being held on Friday 18th April 2008, at Marple Golf Club.
The evening will consist of a welcome drink followed by a 3 course meal, a raffle with excellent prizes and lucky draw where you could win a week’s holiday in a cottage in Ireland! After dinner there will be an entertaining speech by Graham Smith. Graham Smith played for Manchester United under Sir Matt Busby, then became a social worker and worked with young people for many years. Currently he is the Training and Personnel Development Officer for Manchester United and in his spare time is an actor in amateur dramatics!
"The aim is to put the fun into fundraising by having a enjoyable evening out whilst raising some much needed funds for Beacon” James Harper, manager of the Bramhall based charity said. “We hope to raise at least £2000 to enable Beacon to recruit more volunteers and expand our service to other areas of Stockport".
“We are looking forward to our first charity dinner and believe it will be a fun night out for all" said Joan Tsalikis, Chair of Beacon.
Tickets cost £25 each which includes a drink on arrival and a delicious three course meal. Dress is informal. Tickets have sold very quickly, but there are still a few left, so contact the Beacon office on 0161 440 0055 if you would like to come along!
