Vernon Primary School’s High 5s squad are enjoying success!
The team was invited to take part in the Poynton Schools High 5 Netball Tournament at Poynton High School on 6th March. Vernon’s squad were triumphant in every match and the squad came away with the winning medals! Other teams involved were Worth, Lower Park, Lostock Hall and Pott Shrigley.
Miss Mitchell, who coaches the team alongside Mrs Hicks, said, “Our High 5s squad has gone from strength to strength this season. The players have worked extremely hard at developing their skills and have had a very successful season in the High 5 League. I am delighted for the squad.”
The Vernon team will now compete in the Macclesfield School Sports Partnership Final at Knutsford High School on 10th April.
Miss Mitchell added, “Our school is extremely proud of the way the squad has worked so hard to achieve success this year. But an added, and very important bonus, is the conduct of the team off court. The children are always polite, courteous, enthusiastic and appreciative of the efforts of the staff and parents who help them to enjoy their chosen sport.”
