As part of the celebrations following the amalgamation of the Infant and Junior schools at the beginning of the year, Vernon Primary School’s PTA recently presented the Amazing National Festival Circus.
The Big Top was full of international performers such as clowns, jugglers, magicians and acrobats. The circus attracted much interest from the children and parents at the school and also from the local community. The three shows were all sold out, a total of 450 tickets sold.
Chair of the VPTA, Helen O’Sullivan, said “The National Circus worked extremely hard to put on a wonderful afternoon of entertainment. A magnificent £1,100 was raised, which is fantastic.”
Sarah Kiely, Deputy Headteacher at the Poynton school, added “The afternoon proved to be a great family event and everyone enjoyed a glorious afternoon in the sunshine.”
