Things to do:
If you are interested in, or collect mineral specimens or fossils, make sure you don't miss the Bakewell Rock Swap. This takes place over the weekend of October 13/14th. at the Lady Manners School, Bakewell. This is a unique Gem Show which, quite literally, had its origins in enthusiasts swapping mineral specimens. There are many dealers including international representation. If you are a serious buyer you need deep pockets as specimens can cost into the hundreds of pounds.
Club Expertise: If you are interested in any of the following we have experts within the club. Faceting Cabochon Cutting Gold panning Silver and gold jewellery making Agates Ivory This is by no means an exhaustive list but gives some idea of the breadth of knowledge within the club.
