Mark Hayes newly elected Chairman for Area Round Table was given a warm welcome in Bramhall on his three day 125mile challenge to visit all of the 18 tables in Greater Manchester. Mark's trip is made up of a 47 mile walk, 48 mile bike ride and a 30 mile run and will raise over £ 3,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support as well as testing his metal for his new role.
Mark cycled in to Bramhall on Sunday after walking nearly 50miles over mountainous terrain on Saturday. There to welcome him was Artie Bear, Bramhall Round Table Chair, Tristram Bardrick and friends. To celebrate Marks arrival and to confirm he wasn't cheating Tristram signed a map of Manchester. Mark was in good spirits as he left although the exhersions from the previous day made him feel stiff and it was hard for him when mounting his bike.
Bramhall Round Table develops community spirit and raises money to support local charities as well as running events for members. The charity has raise over a £ 1,000,000 and events this year include lads days out of Archery, Go Carting and Mountain Biking.
