The rainbows are singing to raise cash and awareness for the lack of clean water, or indeed, any water, for the many children around the world. The struggle to maintain a clean and healthy environment of which we take for granted is a great one for children globally. Our Rainbows are Singing for a Change on 9th May in the Bramhall Village Shopping Precinct.
The money we will be raising money will be split between Water Aid and our Unit. Hopefully, if we manage to raise enough money to purchase the few extra toys and equipment we want for our Rainbows, we would like to donate a higher amount to Water Aid.
To help raise money, 2 community police officers are targets for a wet
sponge game and Dave Jellybean (local circus entertainer) is kindly
performing and making up balloon models. We will also have face painting and a raffle.
Once our Rainbows have Sung for change, they earn a special "Changing the World" badge from Girl Guiding UK.
Please do come and support them and join in, we will perform some serious thought provoking songs (though with a jolly feel) and some silly songs that we sing at our hut, just to make us, and you, giggle!
We hope to see you all there!
