Ghost of Christmas Past comes to Bramhall
|
|
It is no wonder that Bramhall has won the uk most friendly village award as such Business Community spirit is virtually unheard of. This smart Cheshire town is pulling together with the efforts of the ‘Bramhall Business & Community’
Bramhall has gone as far as gaining permission from the landlords of empty shops, which in Bramhall is remarkably few given the economic climate, to decorate them for Christmas; no shop will be without Christmas Spirit. Not content with this for the first time Bramhall will have its own Christmas Grotto and Christmas market.
Setting an example to us all on festive spirit the local children from all sorts of activity groups have pulled together to hand make over 400 state of the art lanterns to be lit at the start of the Light Up Bramhall Christmas festivities on the 5th of December. All the restaurants and bars have come together offering free tasters, mulled wine, Christmas pies and the shop keepers are offering special deals over the weekend. Not to mention the Christmas market that local shop keepers are stocking up during Sunday to give Bramhall that Continental Christmas market feel.
Leaving no stone unturned they are also running a Bob Cratchit cryptic clue Treasure trail involving 25 locations around Bramhall to win a prize that Scrooge himself would envy £500.00 worth of goodies.
For more information on Bramhall’s decision to embrace Christmas over the weekend of the 5 and 6 of December why not check out the http://www.aboutmyarea.co.uk/Cheshire/Bramhall/SK7 Web site where you can download the itinerary and the cryptic clues.
