Hose Pipe Ban!

Hose Pipe Ban...

No only joking !!!

They say an English man's home is his castle. Well if you have dug a trench around your house then your moat must be full by now.

So far the summer has been a bit of a wash out. Rain - rain and more rain. The gardeners amongst us will not have been able to do any planting out during this monsoon rainy season.

But it is not all bad because even if we do not like the rain the plants love it.

Everywhere you look it is lush and green and colourful, like a giant salad bowl. Unlike most of the holiday destinations we head to abroad. Which can be quiet barren - dry and very brown and dull.

So lets look at the positives for the coming months in the garden.

The use of ornamental grasses - herbaceous perennials and evergreen shrubs to replace the washed out summer bedding in your borders and pots.

The selection of quality plants available in the Garden Centre is vast and there is always plenty of help and advice to help you select the right plant for the right place.

So keep smiling and Happy Gardening.
