The Halloween Trail this year was again even better than last year. A dry day overall with a brief 10 minute spate of drizzle. Our event is usually a small affair which exceeded it's limits last year with 150 trails sold. However, on Friday 31st October at 2pm, we were very much taken by surprise by the numbers that were appearing. We had nearly sold out within the first 15 minutes. Needless to say, we had to make a quick dash to the library to get more sheets printed.
It goes to show how popular Halloween is becoming in this country. Adults and children alike wore great costumes. Stockport Express took some great photos of which 3 were printed in the bought paper on Wednesday 5th November.
Many thanks to all that helped on the day and to everyone that supported the event by taking part in the trail.
Our next event is the Carols in the Park on Saturday 6th December at 3.30pm. This year for the first time being held inside Torkington Lodge. Refreshments from 3.30pm. Hazel Grove Brass Band will start at 4pm for an hour of community singing.
