What have Poynton / Hazel Grove Round Table been up to so far this year? It’s been quiet as usual with not much happening, not!

Programme Events (Lads Nights):

We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month (and also the 5th Tuesday if there is one!) to do anything and everything. We’re also open to new ideas and always try and do stuff you wouldn’t normally do.

April

·         AGM @ Bredbury Hall

·         Visit from beer monsters from our twin Table, Mo I Rana in Norway

·         5-a-side football

·         Giant Scalextric Night

May

·         Macc Beer Festival

·         Tennis

June

·         Walk up Mam Tor

·         Business Meeting

July

·         Middlewood Way Bike Ride

·         Chester Races

Just a taste of what’s coming up in the near future – Tai Kwon Do, zorbing, canal boat night, track night at the Velodrome, and a lads weekend at the Table National Sporting Weekend – 700 guys from round the country get together to have a laugh!

Social Events (with the girls / kids)

No danger of generating any Table widows here! We organise lots of events with the girls and also with the kids so everyone gets lots out of Table.

May

·         Lyme Park Picnic

·         Live Band @ Kings

June

·         Redesmere Raft Race

·         Etherow Raft Race

·         Brass and Beatles @ Poynton Pool

The lads win at Redesmere again!

The junior team triumph at Etherow

July

·         Rounders

·         Beach Day

Social stuff coming up includes an ABBA tribute night, a camping weekend and a masked ball.

Community Stuff

We’re also very active in the Community, although people know us best as organisers of the Poynton Bonfire and from the Santa Float. We support organisations like Francis House, East Cheshire Hospice plus local schools, individuals, and other groups like cub packs etc. We’re completely open to any requests for help in the local area. Our mascot RT Bear can often be seen at local school and playgroup Summer Fairs - have you seen RT Bear out and about?!

If you're an active guy under 45, be part of the action locally; check us out at www.poyntonroundtable.co.uk or contact Karl (01625 871146 family@kcolebrook.fsnet.co.uk) or Matt (01625 261252) to find out what makes Round Table unique and how you can get involved.

See you around!
