Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Poynton Bonfire!

Thanks a million to everyone who supported the annual Charity Bonfire and Fireworks at Poynton Pool on Saturday 7 November, organised by the lads from Poynton / Hazel Grove Round Table - the Event was a great success! As always, all the proceeds are distributed locally; please check out our website (www.poyntonroundtable.co.uk) to see where the money goes, and if you know of worthy causes / projects in the local Community that need help, please get in touch. As always, any suggestions for how we can improve the Bonfire / Fireworks event in future years are very welcome; please email fireworksfeedback@poyntonroundtable.co.uk.

After almost a year’s rest, Father Christmas will soon be arriving again in Poynton. His magical sleigh will be pulled by Rudolph, everyone’s favourite reindeer, with a little help from the Robster’s 4x4. The Round Table pixies and elves will assist Father Christmas by a door-to-door collection for local charities.

Father Christmas hopes to see children of all ages between 6.15pm and 8.30pm on Monday to Friday and from 4.00pm on each Sunday (see below for where to see Santa).

Round Table is a bunch of active 25-45 year old lads who meet twice a month to do stuff you wouldn’t normally do e.g. gliding, waterskiing, zorbing, with some responsible (?!) drinking thrown in. If you fancy a bit of time out from your busy life, Table is spot on. We also put a bit back into the Community through the Bonfire and Santa Float so it’s a unique mix.
