Stockport Field Club list of summer walks.

Two things to note first - if it's a bus walk we meet at Stockport bus station by the booking office before 10.00 a.m. and the regular meeting place is by Mottram Towers off Millbrook St. off Edward Street by Stockport Town Hall. Again we meet before 10.00 a.m. to be ready for the off bang on 10.00.  We have car sharing arrangements in place.

Sat 29th May Mow Cop 8 miles

Thurs 3rd June - Chinley 6/7 strenuous

Sunday 6th June - Axe Edge/Hollins Clough 7/8 Strenuous

Wed 9th July Evening Walk - meet at 6.00 at Mottram Towers for a 4 mile easy walk at Lindow Moss.

Saturday 12th June - Meet at Bus Station at 10.00 for linear 7 mile walk from Debdale.

Thurs 17th June -  Meet at Bus Station at 10.00 to get bus to Disley for 7 mile circular.

Sunday 20th June - 8 miles round Delph

Sat 26th June - Rowarth 7 miles

Thursday 1st July - Fairly strenuous walk at 3 Shire Heads for 6/7 miles

Sunday 4th July - 6/7 miles at Marple

Wednesday 7th July - Evening Walk - Meet on A6 at Stockport Grammar School for a 3/4 mile easy evening walk.

Sat 10th July - A strenuous 8/9 mile walk at White Nancy

Thurs 15th July - Coffee Morning 10.00 am - 12.00 noon at St Andrews Church,  Hall Street, Stockport.

Sunday 18th July - 7/8 Strenuous walk at Edale

Sat 24th July - 6 mile easy walk at Vale Royal.

Thursday 29th July - New Mills for 6 mile moderate walk.

Sunday 1st August - 8 mile walk in Derbyshire to see the Magpie Mines.

Saturday 7th August  - Meet at Bus Station for a 6/7 miles locally at Haughton Dale.

Thursday 12th August - 7 miles at Capesthorne.

Sunday 15th August - 7 miles at Wetton

Saturday 21st August. - Coach Outing to Southport.

Thursday 26th Aug. - Meet at Bus Station at 10.00 for a 5/6 miles linear walk in Reddish Vale.

Sunday 29th Aug. - 8 mile strenuous walk at Ladybower and Alport Castles.

Saturday 4th Sept - Meet at Bus Station at 10.00 for a linear walk from Reddish to Manchester.

Friday 10th Sept. - 3-Day Break in Mold

Saturday 18th Sept. - 8 mile walk round Piethorn Reservoir.

Thursday 23rd Sept. - 7 miles at Hayfield

Sunday 26th Sept. - 6 miles moderate at Heywood.

Saturday 2nd October - 6 mile walk at Tideswell

Thurs 7th October Pub Lunch. - Meet at Bus Station at 10.00 for a 4 mile easy walk and lunch at the Andrew Arms.

Sunday 10th October. - 7 mile moderate walk in Tideswell.

Saturday 16th October - 8 miles at Onecote

Thursday 21st Oct. - 6/7 miles at Capesthorne.

Sunday 24th October - 6/7 miles at Perryfoot.

Saturday 30th Ocotber - 8/9 miles at Bradford Dale.
