Parents from Vernon Primary School in Poynton are putting their best foot forward for charity. They are doing the 10k BUPA Great Manchester Run on May 18th.
Eleven of the parents, known as ‘Team Vernon’, are raising money for two very worthy causes; the Treehouse Children's Unit at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport and Cancer Research.
BAE Systems at Woodford has given the Team a head start with a fantastic donation to the Treehouse Children’s Unit of £500. Helen Marston, one of the parents said “We are absolutely thrilled that BAE has supported our fundraising for the Treehouse Children’s Unit. Treehouse is very close to some of the parents’ hearts in our team and this significant donation has given us such a wonderful start to our fundraising.”
