Bollington 66, Poynton 67/1. Poynton won by nine wickets.
Poynton got their season back on track after two defeats here, but for Bollington there was more misery, with their sixth successive defeat, this time by a large margin.
Poynton struck via Simon Turner with the fourth ball of the match, and with Turner taking another in his next over, and Chris Oake taking two in his opening spell, the rot had set in at 19-4.
It seemed that Bollington's younger players showed better application than their more experienced team-mates, but the top score was still only the 16 made by Jack Ward. Turner bowled unchanged for 18 overs, continuing to send down some superb swinging deliveries, and finished with 5-22, yet another superb return in his fantastic start to the season. Jamie Maltman took 3-13 from 9.2 overs with his teasing spin.
In reply Poynton raced to 38-0 in four overs. Brian Kingham took 17 off the first over he faced, with the opening bowlers struggling for length. The remaining runs came more slowly, but Poynton still got home in 15 overs, with Kingham making 30 and Damian Stringer reaching 26 with the winning boundary.
