Poynton News - written by local people

Senior Link at Poynton Baptist Church is organised by a group of three seniors with the support of our minister and church leaders.  It is open to any of Poynton's  retired folk and we have a regular programme of events.
The church Atrium cafe, open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, is a favourite drop-in centre for quite a large number but on the third Tuesday each month many stay on for a short informal half-hour service.  This is followed by a Keep Fit session (gentle!), a light lunch and an afternoon activity - entertainment/craft work/games/talks/outings/visits from other groups etc.  "Fun, food and fellowship" could be our motto especially when we hold our special Spring and Autumn catered lunches and our big event of the year - Holiday at Home week in August.  Interested friends can always find details or programmes of our events and activities from the church office (behind the cobbler's on Park Lane) or by dropping in for a coffee to the church cafe.
