At our monthly meeting in September we were able to give a belated toast to our member who had recently celebrated her Platinum Wedding Anniversary (70 years!). What a very special occasion that was and one that very few people are able to celebrate.
During the summer four members celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversaries and we have also been able to congratulate them.
Despite the poor weather this summer, we have been able to enjoy several outdoor activities. We have continued our monthly walks which included one across the sands to Hilbre Island, and also continued with weekly bowls sessions. Among other activities we have been cycling on the Tissington Trail and enjoying a picnic in the grounds of Capesthorne. Many events are planned for the coming few months but they will mostly be indoors.
