Woodford WI Choir 'Singing for Fun' has members from both Woodford WI and Middlewood & Higher Poynton WI. They sing for all sorts of occasions, and their programme contains a broad selection of music to suit all tastes. The choir is under the directorship of Mrs June Spencer, a former member of the famous Halle Choir, and member of Woodford WI.
At Christmas and special occasions, the members of the choir join the larger Cheshire Federation WI County Choir which takes is membership from all over the County. They perform at the Cheshire Federation Carol Service in Chester Cathedral in December every other year, and Mrs Joyce Kirkpatrick is their MD.
Woodford's 'Singing for Fun' will be singing at the Poynton Folk Centre on 18th February at 2=30pm
