What a laugh we had at our last meeting. We were entertained by the Rev Michael Burgess from Knutsford and he had us in stitches as he gave his talk. They say laughter is good for the soul and it certainly worked on that occasion.
On Saturday the 18th of April we shall be holding our SPRING FAYRE at Poynton Methodist Hall between 10am -12 noon when we shall be providing refreshments [Tea, Coffe or a squash drink plus a cake] all for an entry fee of £1-00 Of course, there will be a produce stall with home made cakes, preserves etc. plus a Chocolate Tombola, Plants, Bric a Brac and a raffle, so come along and have a break from your shopping.
In May, some of our members are going on a visit to Highgrove, to see Prince Charles' beautiful garden, while in April, others will be indulging in a game of 10 Pin Bowling at Parrs Wood. Sometimes, I wonder how we fit everything in. We all have so many things to do, and the variety of events is tremendous.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday 25th March. 2pm at Middlewood House when the speaker will be Mr Howard Green talking about 'Hatting in Stockport'. Please come along, you will be very welcome.
