As part of their topic ‘Coastal Adventures’, the Year 5 children at Poynton’s Vernon Primary School recently welcomed a member of the television series ‘Coast’ production team.
Mr Wagdin, a parent at the Clumber Road school, works on the programme and very generously gave his time to come in to school to talk to the children about the show, filming, coastal features, life boats and a variety of other things. The children followed series one, two and three of the programme.
Head teacher, Mrs Glimmerveen, said “The children and staff thoroughly enjoyed Mr Wagdin’s presentation! The session brought their current topic to life, which the children found absolutely fascinating.”
