On 29th January pupils and staff at Poynton’s Vernon Primary School dressed up in red to help save lives in Haiti.
Mrs Joanne Glimmerveen, Head teacher at the school, said “Our School wanted to do something to help the people of Haiti, so we took part in the Wear Red Day organised by the British Red Cross. The day was supported by lots of other Cheshire schools, colleges and businesses, which is fantastic. We raised just over £450.”
