Lostock Rangers Junior Football Club provides community football for children in Poynton and the surrounding area. The Club is currently on the look out for two goalkeepers for the current Under 8’s teams.
Darren Provost who manages the Under 8 teams said “we have a fantastic group of youngsters playing in the Under 8’s teams. We have played some friendly matches this season, which has been great fun and there have been some great performances. However, we need two goalkeepers to join the squad. We have entered a number of tournaments throughout the summer and I am really keen to find youngsters who would like to play as goalkeeper. I am planning to start a goalkeeping course in the near future.”
Sam Marston, age 7 who attends Vernon Infant School in Poynton, said “I joined Lostock Rangers Under 8’s last year and have made lots of new friends. I have been asking about my friends if anyone would like to play as goalie, but I’ve not had much luck. We really need a goalie.”
