The PTA at the Poynton’s Vernon Infant School asked parents to collect and bag up unwanted clothes, bedding, curtains, towels, shoes and soft toys as part of a Bag2School collection.
The bags collected from parents weighed in at an amazing 700 kilos!
Joanne Glimmerveen, Head at the school, said “Despite the dreadful weather conditions on the morning of the collection a fantastic number of parents supported this initiative, and an incredible amount of £175 was raised.”
