Poynton’s Vernon Infant School held a pet show with a difference!
Cathy Hill and Stefan Papadopoulos, Reception class teachers at the school, organised the pet show as part of the Knowledge and Understanding of the World area of learning. The children paraded their pets in the outdoor area at the school and spoke about their pets. The children answered lots of questions from the audience, such as what their pets like and what their feeding habits are.
There were dogs, guinea pigs, fish, hamsters, cats and even a fire bellied newt!
Stefan Papadopoulos said “we had a fantastic afternoon. We are pleased to say that the pets and their owners were very well behaved!”
