Pupils Travel Back in Time

Helen Marston
Dec 18, 2007

As part of their history topic on ‘Homes from Long Ago’, the Year 2 children at the Vernon Infant School in Poynton recently enjoyed a visit from the Lyme Park Travelling Workshop.  The children were able to observe artefacts from the past and had the opportunity to dress in period clothes.

Headteacher, Joanne Glimmerveen, said “This is the third year that the workshop has come into school and each year the children have thoroughly enjoyed and learnt a lot from first hand experience.  The workshop brought the current history topic to life, and the children found it fascinating.”
