Pelican Crossing - Chester Road

The Cheshire County Council Traffic Signal Team from Backford, will be upgrading the existing 'pelican' crossing to a 'puffin' operation during the half term break, 9th to 17th February. The crossing will be out of use for about five days.

There should be no adverse affect on traffic during this work but the controlled crossing facility will not be available for pedestrians during the works.

Please contact Peter Smith - tel. 01244 973623, e-mail - peter.smith@cheshire.gov.uk - with any enquiries about the works.

You can find further information on the different types of controlled crossing on the Cheshire County Council website - http://www.cheshire.gov.uk/roads/HighwaysServices/pedestrian_crossings.htm.
