STRICTLY COME SINGING

Need some relaxation or something to lift the spirits?  Perhaps you’ve never sung and fancy giving it a go to see how you get on? Then why not come and join in with Poynton Gilbert & Sullivan Society for an afternoon of skating through some songs. Members of the Society are inviting anyone who wants to come and have a sing just for pleasure to join them on Saturday 19th April at St. George’s Church Hall, Poynton, 2:30pm – 5:30pm.

This singing afternoon is open to anyone from the age of eleven upwards. Admission on the door is just £3.00 which includes refreshments and the loan of music. There will be a wide variety of music, from lively part-songs to excerpts from The Gypsy Baron by Johann Strauss and The Pirates of Penzance by W.S. Gilbert and Sir Arthur Sullivan.

Members of our junior section, G & S Kidz, will also be present should any younger people from the age of eleven wish to join us. Singing is tremendously beneficial to good health and a great way to meet new people and make new friends. So don’t sit there lazing in front of the television, come and join us for an afternoon of fun and music. Look on it as a “Bring and Sing” – bring a friend and come for a sing!  We hope you'll enjoy it enough to want to return on a more regular basis.
