BACKSTAGE WORKERS
Have you ever wanted to assist with the production of an amateur operatic society show? You might perhaps not wish to “sing-along” (though singing members are always welcome) but instead you might care to help in some way “behind the scenes”.
A fully staged and costumed show depends very much on a team of volunteers in addition to the singing/acting players themselves. Both parts of a society need to work well together if a polished end-product is to be delivered to our public.
Our next main production will be Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Pirates of Penzance” during the period of Oct 1st – 10th (public performances Oct 5th – 9th). Poynton G&S Society are looking for people interested in the following areas:
Make-up
Lighting
Stage/scenery moving/maintenance
Tea-making
If you feel you would like to assist us in this way, you will be very welcome. Simply contact Gerald Tebb on 01625-581730.
PS. If you would like any further information about the Society, please contact our Hon Secretary, Melanie Toms, on 01625-875315.
