Woodford Road Closure 14th July (13 weeks)

I am writing to inform you of the imminent works to a weak bridge on Woodford Road, Poynton (over Norbury Brook)
This is necessary strengthening work resulting from the recent bridge assessment programme and will require a complete vehicular closure of Woodford Road at the bridge site (with signed diversion route).
Pedestrian access over the bridge will be maintained throughout, as will access to all properties.
A press release will be issued in advance of the works.
The details are as follows:-
1. Contract Start Date Tuesday 14 July 2009
2. Anticipated Completion Date 12 October 2009 (13 weeks)
3. A signed Diversion Route through Poynton along Chester Rd-London Rd North-Dean Lane (Hazel Grove) will be in place for the duration of the works.
4. Advance warning signs of the road closure will be placed approximately two weeks before work starts.
5. The Principal Contractor for the works is Harry Fairclough Construction Ltd.
