Volunteer Online for Local RSPCA

The local branch of the RSPCA has added a new route from its web site for animal lovers across its vast geographical area to register to become a volunteer. Every page of the web site - www.rspca-macclesfield.org.uk - now carries a banner headed "Hands up if you want to help local animals".  Simply clicking on this takes surfers straight to a volunteering form.

"We decided to opt for this method and style after we realised that people were not sure of where their skills lay and what area best suited them bearing in mind the amount of time they were able to give", said Michael Rutherford branch publicity & webmaster for the branch web site.  "Now people can simply tick boxes give a few details and then our volunteer co-ordinator will call them to expand on our needs, answer questions about the role, talk about our animals and help put people at their ease."

The branch needs volunteers for a whole host of tasks and going to the web site gives an idea of those tasks.  Please give a land line number in addition to a mobile as, in the first place, the initial call from the volunteer co-ordinator can be longer and mobile telephone charges quickly eat in to the branch's hard gained funds.

Volunteers particularly with ideas on and a willingness to fundraise are really needed right now  (the branch needs about £3,000 a month to operate) - so if you have some time to spare at any time, get on to the new web page today, then complete and send in the form at the click of a mouse.

It's as simple as that!
