Explorer Scouts James and Huw came from 2nd Poynton and Rick from 1st Poynton. The boys can be justly proud of their achievement as are both Scout Groups.
Second Poynton Scouts had a bonfire party on the 3rd November and on the 4th joined with other District scouts in a fun day at Alton Towers. The Scouts are going to Laser Quest for their Christmas night out and in the New Year they will be testing the new Manchester ski slope.
Beavers have been busy boat building, looking for bats on Middlewood Way, visiting the Fire Station and joining in with the Cubs at the County Beaver and Cub day held at Camelot. Cubs too have being having fun especially at the Lads and Dads camp.
Beavers have a packed programme up to Christmas. They are doing a safety badge (danger in and around the home and water), the Green Cross code with the Police Community Support Officer, Christmas Crafts, CD’s Crackers and finally a pirate theme Christmas party.
Many hands make light work, any parents especially Cub and Beaver parents wishing to help with the programme should contact Laura, Ruth or Glynne.
Second Poynton Scouts Group have just held their AGM and welcome their new Chairman Tom Gibbons and two new parents to the executive committee.
