At their recent Umbro Soccer Sixes Football Tournament, Poynton Junior Football Club raised £1000 for MedEquip4Kids.

MedEquip4Kids exists to improve the health of children in the North West of England by providing equipment and facilities to aid recovery and prevent illness and injury. They work closely with hospitals and care agencies to identify items of medical equipment, improvements to facilities or additional items of play or therapy equipment that can best enhance the care received by the region’s children. They have raised over £8 million to date and 2007 sees them celebrating their 22nd Birthday.

Poynton FC prides itself on achieving the highest award available in amateur football. In 2004 we were awarded the prestigious FA Charter Standard Community Club Award. This followed the FA Charter Standard Development Club Award in 2003. The club has nine boys mini-soccer teams playing from Under 7's to Under 10's, two girls mini soccer teams at Under 10's and Under 12's, two 11-a-side girls teams at Under 14's and Under 16's and eight 11-a-side boys teams from Under 11's to Under 16's.
