The Adlington Hunting Lodge was the venue for the recent Vernon Primary School Dinner Dance.

Following the amalgamation of the Infant and Junior schools at the beginning of the year, the night was organised by former parent and local businessman Nigel Schofield of Adlington’s Wards End Garage, in conjunction with the newly formed VPTA, and was enjoyed by numerous parents and friends of the School.

Helen O’Sullivan, Chair of the VPTA said “The parents at Vernon Primary offer fantastic support in many ways, and this night was no exception.  The evening was an enormous success, the tickets selling out within days of being on sale.  The final figure raised was £1,750 which will directly benefit the children at our school.  Huge thanks go to Nigel Schofield who masterminded the event.”

Joanne Glimmerveen, Head at Vernon Primary, added “PTA fundraising has a huge impact on the resources we can provide, and enables us to afford extras that we know help to further enhance the provision for our children.”
